I am currently editing some video to go onto youtube that shows picture in

WOW What a year at NWMF.   My brother attended this year with me and really
enjoy meeting everyone and learning a little about Unimogs, penz, Volvos,
Haflingers, Urals, G wagons and a host of other interesting vehicles that
attended this year.  I have to say I'm really glad I went this year can't
believe I actually considered staying home.   To the Molloy's and the
volunteers thank you, For the friends and people I have met along the way
thank you as well. 

 

I have a few photos to share 300+ J and can send full size images to anyone.
I would appreciate to see any video taken of the orange Unimog this year or
in years past..

I've used Ducks Back on canvas products with good success.  I have never
used it on the rubberized canvasses that are on the Swiss trucks and newer
cab tops.  Not quite sure how it will work on that.  We do use the 303
Protectant on the rubberized canvas tops with excellent results.  Wipe on in
the garage using a sponge and work it in.  Leave overnight and towel dry in
the morning.  Great results.

Corey and Myself are going to go check out AlbertaSafariPark (
http://www.safarioffroadpark.ca/) Labor Day Long Weekend. I've never been
there before, but if you search youtube there's some video's of some of the
trails/obstacles

This is an open invention to any/all Moggers that wish to join. There is a
fee for using the park ($60 CAN) but it looks to be challenging to all skill
levels.

Please extend a big thank you to your wife and anyone associated with
Mogfest! My friends from China, Eason and Rachel had a really great time,
they were going to visit Saturday but they had such a fun time they camped
overnight and enjoyed all of it. 

 

EVERYONE was great to offer them rides in the mogs, they stayed at the
obstacles until after 11:00 PM, they took the helicopter rides in the day.
The weekend was a great experience for them and for me. 

 

I tell you, it makes me very proud to be associated with "moggers!" It makes
me proud to be an American. Nicely done!!

Does anyone have any details on the rolled 406 at NWMF?  I saw it upside
down but never did hear how it happened.  

 

Also I loved seeing everyone there this year, it was great seeing people I
haven't seen in a year again.. even if you drive a strange car or truck.   J

They crested a hill in the course, and there was a deep hole on the right side 
immediately after. As they entered, they hit brakes to go in slow. As the left 
rear came up, and without momentum to rescue, the truck did a "roll/flop" onto 
its lid. Everyone ok thankfully! (that's the story I heard anyway.)

There was some injury to the hand of one of the two occupants as he
grabbed the canvas top's tube frame in the roll-over.  Upside down,
the hand was pinched between the tubing and the ground.  It was a
"guest driver", as I understood things at the scene...

Both were fortunate to have walked away from that one, since the
windshield frame and canvas top totally collapsed under the weight of
the U-900.  Also fortunate was the fact that there was a substantial
roll bar behind the seats.
